Do you buy scrap cars or vehicles for parts?

No, and we want to be upfront about that. We're a car buying service, not a scrapyard or salvage yard. We only buy vehicles that can be repaired and put back on the road. If your car is beyond economical repair, we won't be the right fit, but if you're not sure either way, give us a call and we'll be honest with you.

Can you give me a price straight away over the phone or online?

We'll give you a strong indication based on the details you provide, but we need to see the vehicle in person before we can confirm a final price. Condition varies a lot between cars, and seeing it ourselves means we can give you a fair, accurate offer rather than a number we might have to change later.

My car has failed its MOT, will you still buy it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in most cases. MOT failures are one of the main types of vehicles we buy, whether it's brakes, suspension, steering, emissions, or advisory defects. As long as the car can realistically be repaired and put back on the road, we're interested.

Do you buy non runners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Blown head gaskets, snapped timing belts, gearbox issues, engine trouble, electrical faults, we regularly buy non runners, as long as the vehicle is repairable.

Do you buy Cat S and Cat N write-offs?

Yes, we do buy Cat S and Cat N write-offs where the damage is repairable. We don't currently buy vehicles that have been written off as unrepairable.

What about SORN vehicles or cars that have been off the road for a while?

That's absolutely fine. SORN vehicles and cars that have been sitting for a while are welcome, we just need to know they can be brought back to roadworthy condition.

How much does collection cost?

Nothing. Collection is completely free, anywhere in the UK. We'll come to your driveway, garage, roadside, or workplace, wherever the vehicle is.

How quickly can you collect?

In most areas we offer same-day collection. Once we've seen the car and agreed a price, we'll arrange a time that suits you.

When do I get paid?

In most cases, you're paid the same day, on collection. The price we agree is the price you get, there are no deductions on the doorstep.

Do I need the V5C logbook?

Accepted Answer

Yes, ideally. The V5C makes the process much smoother, and we'll handle the DVLA notification for you. If you've lost your logbook, give us a call, we can talk through your options.

What paperwork do you handle?

We take care of the V5C logbook and notifying the DVLA that the vehicle has been sold. We'll also give you copies of everything for your records.

Yes, Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, classic cars, and plenty more. The question isn't the badge, it's whether the vehicle can be repaired and put back on the road.
